Brady and I went for our honeymoon this part January and it was so amazing. We decided to go to Mexico for two weeks because a) it was our honeymoon and b) it was Brady’s first ever vacation!!
We stayed at the Bluebay Grand Esmeralda and I have nothing but good things to say about it. They had amazing food, staff, and rooms. The only thing that wasn’t the greatest was the water at the beach (not as clear as other places), but you could walk 5 minutes on the beach and there was a really nice lagoon.
We also got to do 3 excursions (Xel-Ha/Tulum, a catamaran to Isla Mujeres and Coba Mayan tour). They were all awesome and I would recommend them! We also got to go to 5th ave which was pretty fun too.
With Xel-ha and Tulum, we started first with going to the ruins of Tulum and listening to the history about them which was really interesting. Tulum was built on a cliff and it has the most beautiful view and beach.

The next stop was Xel-Ha, which is an aquatic water park where you can snorkel and do various activities! There are also a lot of animals around which is pretty cool to see.

The next excursion we did was the catamaran. It was really cool because we got to go snorkelling, see an underwater museum and relax on the boat. Once we got to the island, we had lunch included and we could go shop or go on the beach. Drinks were included on the boat which was also awesome.

The next (kind of) excursion we did was going to 5th ave! It was really fun to walk around and visit all of the little shops. We found a cute little restaurant to eat lunch at which was very need.
Our last excursion was the Coba Mayan tour. In the morning we got to go zip-lining, repelling into a cenote, canoeing and a mayan lunch. In the afternoon, we toured around Coba and learned about the history there. We then got to climb the ruin which is almost 140 feet high! It was so hot that day so the climb was challenging but I’m so glad I got to climb it.

Since we were at our resort for 2 weeks, we did a lot of lounging around our resort which was so amazing. Our honeymoon has memories that I will cherish forever and I cannot wait to go on an adventure again.
